Spring Skiing in Jackson Hole

Ski season is coming to an end, but the spring skiing in Jackson Holehas been a pleasant surprise.  With the sun and warmth it's great just to be outside.  The mornings are filled with top to bottom groomers and as the sun hits the snow, the off-trail softens into a nice corn and you can go pretty much anywhere.  Just keep your eye out because there are shark fins lurking ahead.  If there are no more storms heading this way, then I think we may have skied our last lower face yesterday as the snow at the bottom is becoming sparse.  If you want to get out and get a sun tan, it should be pretty darn warm this week with a little storm moving through mid-week.  We're running out of time so get out there and enjoy the snow!  Looking forward to rafting trips, weddings, fishing and more this summer!

Spring Creek Ranch Privacy

Jackson Hole Real Estate Sales Are Up!

I still believe that there are hard times to come, but again there seems to be a perception with many buyers that they need to make there move now or they might miss their chance at that "unbelievable deal."  There are plenty of listings and deals to still be had, but with this news sellers may start holding a little firmer to their prices especially with summer around the corner.

Speaking of summer, that means fishing will be here soon!

Has Teton County Hit Bottom?

This guy has been hanging out down the street from my office.

People are always asking, "Do you think the market has hit bottom?"  My response a few weeks ago would most definitely have been no.  I have done a little research this morning and now I am not so sure.  In the last couple of months from January 2, 2010 to today I know that there have been 24 closings in Teton County.  These closings range in price from $220,000 up to $8.2 million with a good variety of sales throughout.  Last year from January 2, 2009 to March 2, 2009 there were only 7 sales with the largest being $1,535,000.

I do believe that there may now be the perception that the market in Teton County has hit the bottom causing some buyers to jump off the sidelines.  There are great deals on homes throughout the valley, so if you don't want to miss the boat, let's go look around and I'll show you what I'm talking about.

Spring Ski Days in March!

It's a balmy 35 degrees on the summit right now.  Wish I was out there, but I got a little sun-burned yesterday.  The skiing is surprisingly great!  Some of the south facing runs softened up and we were able to ski them for the first time really this season.  If you are into sunny ski days and relaxing for lunch outside with a cold beer, then the next couple of days are for you.  If you only like powder, don't worry, we usually get some big March storms here in Jackson Hole.
