Tomorrow is the day for Jackson Hole Open Houses!  If you haven't seen the development on Snow King or if you just want to drive through a cool tunnel, come and have a look at Pine Glades.  Ted will be there from 10 - 1:00 p.m.  He'll have lunch for you and you will also have a chance to win a one night stay at Spring Creek Ranch with a dinner and breakfast at the Granary here on the hill.  Pine Glades has just recently been reduced in price and is now $1,495,000 for the end homes and $1,345,000 for the middle homes.

I will be down in Melody Ranch from 10 - 1:00.  Follow the open house signs down Melody Creek Lane to view this home with a modern flare.  It is nearly 3,500 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.  It has a great guest suite on the first floor as well as a large gourmet kitchen.  It has just recently had a price reduction to $1,145,000.

Finally, Margi will be at our Elk Run #51.  This Elk Run townhome is close to town.  It has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.  It would be great for a first time home buyer or an investor looking to rent it out.  The seller is highly motivated so come on by and have a look!

It's Snowing and There's More Coming!

It's snowing and there's more coming! This is a picture from the tram dock via the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort webcams at 10:15 this morning.  They reported a fresh 5 inches this morning with 14-22 projected to fall tonight!  We'll be over 300 inches of total snowfall which leads the Rocky Mountain region.  Last year was an amazing snow year, but I don't remember getting this big of storms and skiing 2 feet of powder in bounds.  I will be definitely be out there tomorrow, so if you want to make some turns in the steep and deep, give me a holler.  Have a great President's Day Weekend!  If you aren't here, there are still great deals on flights to Jackson Hole!

Got Views?

Got views?  We call this home "Hole in the Sky."  It sits atop East Gros Ventre Butte here in Jackson Hole and looks off the edge of the mountain for some of the best elevated views around.  This is an expansive home with nearly 5700 sq. feet of living area.  There is great attention to detail throughout with beautiful log, rock and large trusses. The private 1.6 acre lot adds to the appeal. All owners are full time guests of Spring Creek Ranch with numerous amenities and services for a true care-free living experience.  This home is in the short term rental program and boasts great rental return.  Call for more details.

Jackson Hole Snow Report

Here is your Jackson Hole Snow Report.  It's still snowing!  We got another foot of snow over the last couple of days and the forecast is for more.  Not huge dumps, but everything helps and the word is that this weekends skiing is going to be great.

Here's a young bachelor herd of elk that has been hanging out next to my office.

We won the Idaho River Lottery!

We won the Idaho River Lottery! We drew the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.

The Middle Fork of the Salmon River originates with the merging of Bear Valley and Marsh Creeks. It begins as a small, quick stream close to 6000 feet above sea level. The flow increases more than five-fold as it flows north over 100 miles before its confluence with the Main Salmon River. The upper river runs through a tight canyon covered with Douglas fir and lodgepole pine. As the canyon opens, the landscape features ponderosa pine, sagebrush and mountain mahogany. The Middle Fork travels through 3 National Forests: Challis, Payette and Salmon.

For the last 20 miles, the river tumbles through the famed Impassable Canyon, which features almost vertical batholith granite walls that tower thousands of feet over the river bed. Here the hiking trails head out past Bear Creek and only rafters and kayakers can journey through this section. As you exit this canyon, the Middle Fork meets the Main Salmon River, which journeys west and eventually joins up with the Snake River.

There are supposed to be some very nice drops and we'll be going during high water.  If you have done this section, please post some pictures or comments!
